Thanks peeps for the warm welcome. Just to let you know how I found this place which is part of another of your threads; I came here from Nothing Toxic. Threads there seemed to get hijacked often after the second post. Place was a ghetto of ruling trolls:rolleyes: . However it was small enough to get a basic understanding of forums which was my first one. LL is my first upgrade. Much more organized and apparently sensible.

I too was use to Ogrish till they became a part of here. NT was good cause it was small enough to ask a lot of questions and their forum was pretty new.

not me of course.. i am just a whore for pts....there is "yoursay" which is pretty much self descriptive....forums for politics..different parts of the world...all sorts...some people are freindly...some not so...also there is "chat"..which can get very heated..or be extremely funny and refreshing[depending on whos in].There are technical help peeps who are users with serious knowledge of technical stuff...who will help ya with problems even if its not connected to LL.Loads more of course but me fingers are gettin tired .....so welcome ..and may you be very happy here.

I ran a gaming website that required member name and login for access. I started having problems with forum spammers; they do what johsonjunior tried to do. They generate links to their website or to other websites from high traffic websites such as LiveLeak. They get paid for the number of hits they get from these links.

I was able to flush them by doing a simple google search using their member name. johnsonjunior generated 4,470 hits, or 72 pages of returns of nothing but the link to johnsonjunior's profile to sites with forums in just about every country and language on the planet.

johnsonjunior probably never read your answer and your kind acceptance to LiveLeak despite his blatant transgression. He is probably a BOT.

IMHO he is wasting space on your server and should be deleted and banned.

This is a widespread problem on the Internet. Perhaps one of your programmers could write a script that would run a search on Google in the background when someone creates an account. If they check positive, they can be banned at the door.;)
