yea, its a good contrast afreegreek, all the best shots rely on emotional contrast to my mind, the wider the contrast the better the image..

good philosophy to go with those shots sluggoo, again as with the origanal shot at the begining of this thread, its the great contrast between week and strong in the frame that makes it a powerful and emotional experience to veiw..

I have never surfed but can attest to the power of the waves. I have been bitchslapped a time or two just swimming in the ocean by those things! I was also caught on lake Superior during a bad storm and I swear we fought 20 foot waves for about 2 hours trying to get back to camp.

Beautiful photo AFG. I have a picture of my newborn daughters hand around the finger of my Daddy's. He was terminally ill and died not too long after. That shot while private, is what I thought of as soon as I saw your picture of this little bunny in the hands of a loving sage.

This pic I've chosen to add here speaks volumes to me. Love prevails and stands the tests of time....

It was found last year in Mantua, Italy. It's approximate age dates back 5000 years to the Neolithic age. Buried treasure if you ask me.

Archeologists that discovered it can only theorize it as a sacrificial event where the woman was offered first then followed by her mate. It's reasoning can only be assumed but a picture speaks a thousand words. Don't you think?

very powerful pic...

titled ...Wanting a meal..taken by Kevin Carter

His picture of an emaciated girl collapsing on the way to a feeding centre, as a plump vulture lurked in the background won him the Pulitzer in 94 but only days later he committed suicide.. :( :(

The reaction to the picture was so strong that The New York Times published an unusual editor's note on the fate of the girl. Mr Carter said she resumed her trek to the feeding centre. He chased away the vulture.....

Afterwards, he told an interviewer, he sat under a tree for a long time, "smoking cigarettes and crying".

R.I.P

In today's world, this picture is simply beyond my comprehension. Outstanding post.
