Someone was looking for a solution for using two PCs at the same time using only one monitor, keyboard and mouse. I found the thread just a minute ago but the now I'm redirected to the new forums. I don't remember what your name was, but if you find this, here you go.

Linux has the remote desktop protocol over TCP/IP by default. I think windows has a propriatary protocol, but 3rd party clients are available. I use my PS3 with Ubuntu on my XP PC sometimes for doing Gimp work, cause my PC only does vector with it's 384MB RAM.
