thanks guinea pig . . . i'll stick with windows 7 because you wanna know why? Because my computer is running awesome, no problems for the past 4 years and i don't understand why would anyone want to upgrade if everything is running well already . . .

" guinea pig" ? How so? My pc was running well with 7 also. But with 10 it's even better.
I had an old dell myself for a long time and it ran "well" on XP for years so i understand how you feel.

I didn't update yet. I checked with my puter manufacturer (Sony vaio) and they didn't recommend the upgrade yet as they had not finished testing all the drivers.

I suggest ya'll consult your hardware support people b4 doing anything...

Settings are positioned differently and a other things that could be explained up front better like the return to page.
Also if you forgot your passwords you might have a difficult time getting into you email accounts.
May want to make a list of your most previously sent mail as well as any personal folders before venturing.
Reminds me of the mac OS in many ways.
Haven't fiddled with much yet, still running everything to make sure it works.
Operation is simpler but getting used to it may take a different learning curve.
Not crazy about the start menu and finding the things I liked on 7 again can be daunting to find.
File structure is the same again just set up different.
No more security essentials, defender does it al now.
Just wondering if the malicious software removal tool will still be used as I never fully trusted any AV to keep everything out.
Other than that I hate the sublime sales which IMHO is where this is all heading.
I can see there will a lot redoing on it as demand and complaints increase as I'm certain they will.
Over all .. could be a decent experience but right now they need to focus on the home PC not all the other things they can put in it.
That's where they fall short .. just too much crap no one really wants.
Just crap they think people want.
And of course if you haven't noticed I mean the ton of apps this is al built around.
Just leave it out and offer a link don't plaster it all over the start FFS.:rolleye:

Auto updates and driver problems.
Cannot have any auto anything with my computers.
Doing programming too often updates screw up stuff.
I have to check them out before adding anything.
Plus I do not like the way Win 10 is done.
Reminds me of those games that you buy but have to go online to play.
It has more useless crap in it than ever before.
Crap that will never be used, crap that anyone who uses a puter would ignore and download their own favorite programs to do things with.
I hate windows but there just is no real alternative yet.
The other OSes just do not work for everything since everything is made for windoze

One other thing, for those with pirate copies I wouldn't recommend the upgrade.
Been watching them piss and moan how 10 put viruses on their systems. :)

I wonder what better means. I use video editing applications every other day and 3d rendering programs everyday I have had no problems the past 4 years. I see no reason for me to upgrade

I also see no particular difference between XP service pack 3 and windows 7
