Why does Spain deserve this wrath more than any other country, Euro or otherwise? What makes them worthy of your derision? Is it a personal thing, or does Spain super-suck extra hard and i just don't know about it?

Mmm, that wasn't your question and I've already addressed these points you're talking about and which I don't totally disagree with. Once again I recommend you read my post before you reply.

Ah of course, I knew this was coming. The evil euro, lol. Funnily enough the euro's reason d'etre is precisely to facilitate nationalistic economic policies instead of economic policies tied to a foreign currency aka the dollar. Sure, in an ideal world there wouldn't be a dominating currency and everyone could rely on their own currency but that's not reality and like it or not and contrary to your assertion, the euro represents a move towards nationalistic interests of if you don't like putting it that way, a move towards less loss of sovereignty towards the dollar.

As for the rest of your post although I agree with the premise I disagree with your assertion that the general populations are doing anything because they want to avoid change. They aren't doing anything because they remain clueless, both willfully and unwillfully thanks to state and media propaganda. And more importantly, even if they weren't there's little they can do about it as the system is rigged to the core. Thank fuck for football, as some would say.

Not so, rising transportation costs of finished goods caused by high oil prices and quality control problems means that some companies are now returning the manufacturing process and jobs back from places like the Far East and Asia. Just a trickle of companies at the moment but definitely growing as costs in the West are driven down by the recession.
Measures like the Spanish government's relaxation of employment laws will only make this an even more attractive option to companies.
