Doubtful. While there has been projection of power for that intention, see three carrier groups deployed to Iran's borders, the “Urgent Operational Needs requirements” DoD announcement for funding of a better MOP wasn't publicised nor picked up by the MSM. As a matter of fact, after reading it in www.defense-aerospace.com (I think) I couldn't find it anywhere else.

Maybe you have a point in regards to the F-22 deployment to the UAE. Quite clearly unnecessary unless the intention is to intimidate Iran. But even if that was the case if wouldn't be of much relevance when considering the other measures previously undertaken like the carrier deployment previously mentioned or the billions of dollars in thousands of offensive missiles and bunker buster sales to Iran's neibhbours or the deployment of more US forces and weapons in the 47 US bases surrounding Iran.

Interesting, but in any event these would not be used to do any attack on Iran's Nuclear facilities. While capable of delivering JDAMs & SDBs, the weapons bays are not large enough for any bunker-busters. I guess they may be there to provide CAPs at that UAE base, which would play a pivotal role in any confrontation.

That would make sense or as escorts/surgical strikes against SAMs.

No one is going to attack Iran, at least not while they are making concessionary noises! and if they do get attacked it will be by Israel, not the US.
