I've been thinking about the thumb trolls since Pig Vomit did his recent yoursay about them. I have no working knowledge of software engineering so I have no idea how easy or hard it would be to do this. But what if the ability to vote on a comment expired a week after the comment was posted? Liveleak already does that with opinion polls. If voting expired after a week on individual comments, trolls won't be able to go digging into some user's history just to neg comments that person made months or even years ago.
