Who knows. I've been hearing this theory for a long time that the U.S government want a war which they can "win" after the failure of Vietnam, hence Iraq but I don't know. I really expected the U.S govt at the time just before Bush left that Iran would be involved, there are reports of a major attack that was cancelled by Israel. The Arab revolutions have obviously changed alot of things and no doubt the U.S administration is always re-thinking especially after what happened.

So many mistakes I honestly cannot put ANY REAL faith in the U.S defence/foreign policy anymore. I mean nothing really has been successful in any combat/military the U.S has taken part in since the WWs. It's such a complete failure it's really uncomprehendable. It's strange how such a "free state" holds grudges, I kind off agree that the U.S is not such a free state as we might think. I mean so many more important things are vital to the country yet they get put aside for ridiculous conflicts/objectives.

First gulf war cured Vietnam syndrome ..

South Vietnam failed.. We did our part while we were there. Vietnam is when politicians run the war with no clear defined goal of defeating your enemy.

Cant win a war in which you dont invade the people causing the problems. North Vietnam was never invaded we just carried out attacks on them and defended the south from countless incursions by the North...

S$%$ way to fight. Should of carried it out at least in part like Korea and pushed em back into china

They're being trained in Arizona as we speak. Iraq should get its first F-16s in 2014.
