I've got nothing to hide. And no, they won't won't be coming to my house to confiscate my guns. That's a political and logistical impossibility in America (to do it on a massive scale.)

I've fired and ran ranges for almost every conventional weapon the military uses..M9, M16,M4, MK19, M203 to name a handful and still, to this day after 20 years, I have yet to purchase a personal weapon. With that said, there is no way I would take employment at a place with a massive amount of people, whether adults or children without personal protection.

I'm pretty good at being aware of my surroundings but being around a lot people I don't know on a constant basis would make me uneasy. Today however there was a random gridlock traffic shooting not far from where I live. I'm seriously considering getting a 9M at this point. My reasoning is the government has spend a lot of money training me and it would be a good way to not only protect myself but more importantly, protect innocent Americans.

Ugh, I blame the Rambo movies for this gun obsession.


Now, don't be so fooled into thinking the government can't get your guns. All they have to do is figure out a way to get the private sector involved in gun buybacks and voila, a lot less guns around. You've seen ads for your "used" gold. We'll you'll see ads for your "used" guns. Of course the government won't do anything about guns because they get paid too much by gun manufacturers.

Here's the problem with having loose gun laws for a long time. It eventually reaches the point where the country is awash with guns and anyone with a pulse can get a few. That's when normal people have to buy guns too just to keep safe from other ppl with guns. The fewer the guns, the fewer the killings.

cant even if they wanted to(well not legally)they could alway's try to amend the 2nd amendment....gunna need a hell of a majority to do it though

I never intended to be a gun collector. Started slow, a 12g here, a .22 there. Then when my Dad passed I inherited several valuable pieces that had been in the family for over 80 years that belonged to my grandfather and great-grandfather. Also included is my father's .22 from when he was a boy and the rifle he used in Korea in the mid-50's. More nostalgic to me, but also practical as well.
