Some people in this thread have said that Auschwitz should be bulldozed. Now, I don't consider myself to be a big friend of Israel and it's foreign or domestic politics but my answer to the idea of bulldozing Auschwitz is: never.

And not because others beside Jews died there but because it is such an important part of human history. Not long ago this Swedish neo-nazi hired these Polish criminals to steal the Arbeit mach frei - sign. That's the type of people who want to destroy Auschwitz.

What has to happen is there has to be a separation of the memory of the Jewish genocide in World war 2 and the case of Israel. It's actually pretty simple.

I first saw this on Swedish television some months ago. From a purely objective film making perspective I find to be a well made investigative documentary. The author Yoav Shamir sets out to investigate contemporary discourse on the holocaust and in the end, he leaves no lasting imprint of his own opinions on the subject, only the words and actions of the people he met. No matter where you stand in the issues talked about in the film you will probably feel that your side of the argument was well represented.
