The conversation between you and Roo``` a while ago about how close Jews are to Palestinian muslims until Israel came along with was kind of funny.

What I do know is that both Roo``` and you go out of your way to use very precise language when talking about Jews and Israel. No Palestinian I know makes that much of a distinction.

There is no cultural war between the two because culturally they are essentially the same. The political bullshit along with its injustices have created the immense hate we see today. Alot of interesting questions are answered there and if you are really into asking Palestinian "friends" then I suggest looking to see what this guy has to say.

You would be the first Palestinian I have ever encountered who made such a distinction. Edward Said didn't even make such a distinction.

There are plenty of Palestinians of white complexion and sometimes bright eyes. In fact, many Gulf Arabs classify Arabs from the "Sham" area (Lebanese, Syrian, Palestinian, Jordanian, pats of Egypt) as the "white Arabs". You can even cross check that with your panel pf Gulf Arab friends if you like.
