Very nice, Yes very nice indeed. I like all the fancy bracket/screw set ups. And it looks great as well.
I see so far the color scheme is going to be Red? By chance i went with Blue and that worked out great being blue is my favorite color next to Green,,money green that is,lol.
I think my next build is going to be Blk/gold. Not sure yet. My wife wanted me to put her together a pink pc but i have seen many pink motherboards.lol
Well as always Take care and have a nice evening,,.Rob.

http://www.coolerguys.com/ll140spgrill.html

A spare for the back and two 140 for the top as I plan to mount a 140 water cooler there with yet another red fan.
I plan to use it for LAN parties only.
Yeah its a little flashy .. but it makes me smile.

Nice, very nice. That's going to look real cool for sure. (makes me want a new case),lol
If i do change case i will either have to find a blue one of most likely go with the one you showed me in the link about air flow. But if i do that i will upgrade my power supply also being i would be adding some lights and being i have to re-wire as well that would be the perfect time to do the psu upgrade.
I will give my wife this pc when i get my next one built. But she couldn't wait and had me purchase windows 7 install disc/COA keycode last night to install on her old dell. I have a question about that. If i install 7 on her old pc she has now and then build a new pc can i take her old pc offline/dismantled and then use that keycode on another pc that will be online? Or can that code only be registered one time? I am a little unsure about how that works.
Thanks and have a nice day..,Rob.

My son has sunk about $400 (so far) into a pretty cool PC that will eventually cost around $1300 to $1600 (depending on parts sources).

It's built inside one of these ...

It has water cooling, a pretty nice PSU, a bunch of flashy led fans, and ...

... stay tuned.

From what I gather, it's an Intel i7 based box with a 512GB SSD, 8TB of storage, 16GB RAM ... using the best of the last generation of DDR3, eSATAT, and MOBO tech.

Hitting that sweet spot (price wise) between generations of PC gear.

I've seen a lot of those style case's recently l8rm8e. I'm trying to stay with the old style tower/case but i can see the advantages of the new style. I am in favor of " best of the last generation" mode of thinking for sure. For me i went from an old dell 2400 with xp to a new rig built with as far as i can tell 2 or 3 year old new parts and am very pleased with the results. It's something like driving an old farm truck and then getting behind the wheel of a 5 year old Cadillac. It's a few steps up no matter how you look at it,lol
Thanks for sharing and i wish the best for your son's build.
Take care..,Rob.

The parts and case mentioned total so far around $1100 .. I feel it's rather small to maintain cold environment for so many peripherals but it got indeed a good build up. ITX board are tiny small, meant for HTPC and other rarely use because of limited space. Let us know how it goes with your son!

I have a problem i can not seem to track down.
All the sudden my pc starts slowing down, well it all started when i first went to open my browser (opera) and it was taking much longer then it had in the past. it would pop right open before and now it take's maybe 10 seconds or so to open.
I ran all my programs such as Advance system care ,spybot search/destroy, malware bytes,MS essentials, and they found nothing that has changed my problem.
The problem is my Ram on the little performance monitor (system care) shows it's at idle running 30 %. Nothing i do brings it below 30%. It'll go up a little when working programs but never below 30.
I've searched and didn't find anything that has helped.
If anyone can clue me in i would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you and have a nice day,.Rob.

I was watching a video about computer hardware and this guy mentioned the asus motherboards/program has a default ram frequency that was different from the one my ram modulars specs list so i needed to go into the settings and change that. I did so and it seems to have increased my pc speed ,, i think. Slightly,, maybe.
I just thought i would mention it for no other reason then maybe informing someone like myself that was unaware of that little detail.
Take care everyone and have a Merry Christmas.
