I don't think the Constitutional right to practice your religion will trump the employers right to decide the dress code at work. It does promise to be an interesting lawsuit, though.

Next she'll demands to pray five times a day. Or how about hiring an Orthodox Jew as host and he refuses to talk to a goy female or touch anything that a non-Jew female gives him, etc.? Plus, if Muslims want to win fans in the US, seriously making this suit up against Disney, the happiest place in the world of all places, it's not going to win many hearts, lol.

The litmus test is 'can you tell a jewish man not to wear his yarmulke'?

And the answer, rightfully so, is no you can't.

It has to be an established policy, a safety requirement, or a health requirement. A hijab or a yarmulke is NOT the same as a Metallica t-shirt or eyebrow rings or wharever.

On a sidenote, Disney is run fully by Jewish lawyers, too.

When your vegan employer tells you that you can't eat balogna sammiches on your lunch break, and you comply, I'll entertain your thoughts on this.

Somewhere between having no rights to a safe, peaceful work environment and disrupting the workplace with special religious needs, i.e. having to have several breaks during the day to pray, dictating to the employer what their dress code will be, whether any ham will be eaten in the lunchroom, etc., is what makes sense, doesn't it?

Imagine an Amish new hire walking in and exclaiming, "Holy cow! It's against my religion to have all this electricity in here! You can't discriminate against my right to practice my religion! I have a right to work here, and all this electricity has got to GO! I can't deal with these power gadgets. They are from Satan! "

^Same shit, same "religion/rights" argument. Same ridiculousness. If she wants to be a muslim every minute of every day, she heeds to work somewhere where she can be one in the manner she desires, just as the Amish tend to hang out on the farm instead of demanding that everyone in town change to suit them when their buggy pulls up.

I'll tell you why. Because you believe religion deserves undue respect. And obviously I don't agree with that retarded notion, if anything religion deserves less respect.

And I don't have to leave them be in regards to what they're wearing while they're working for me, once again, company dress code. The nature of your cultist worshipping makes no difference to the company's dress code. You can put on your hallowing costume and worship Satan once your shift is done and you're out of the company's premises but while you're here you're no different than anyone else. Don't like it? Find another job.

On my lunch break I can eat whatever I want as long as I leave the premises. And that also applies to wearing a tent over my head or a nazi uniform. None of my employer's business.

She can wear her headscarf during her break, not on the floor while working. She's going to lose this case. Especially Disney they are the strictist of anyone on dress code.

I did a little research and Disney was sued for the same reason by another woman in 2004 and they settled out of court. This woman is just looking for some money. How disgraceful for a so-called "religious" person.
