Fine I may go for this option,it makes sense.Pepsodent is mild shit.

Household Tips to Remove Scratches From Plastic Windows

  1. Toothpaste
    • Toothpaste works best on light surface scratches; try to avoid gel-based toothpaste, as it's not as effective. Clean the affected area and dry it with a lint-free cloth, then liberally smear the toothpaste into the scratches. Wipe off the excess paste, then dry the area with the lint-free cloth. The scratches should no longer be visible.
    Furniture Polish

    • Furniture polish works in a similar fashion to the toothpaste, filling in many light to moderate scratches. Clean and dry the area with a lint-free cloth, then liberally spray or smear the polish into the scratches. Wipe the excess polish off, then dry it with a lint-free cloth. Using yesterday's newspaper in lieu of a cloth is a popular way to clean windows, but it's not recommended when cleaning scratched plastic windows, as the course fibers on the newspaper can reopen the scratches.
    CD/ DVD Repair Kit

    • Many households have CD and DVD repair kits to fix the scratches that accumulate no matter how careful you are with the discs. These repair kits may also work on light to moderate scratches on plastic windows. Clean and dry the area with a lint-free cloth, then follow the manufacturer's directions to buff out scratches on the window. Be sure to apply only light pressure so that you don't cause the scratches to crack further.
    Dry Mustard And Vinegar

    • If you find that the first three methods were inadequate at fixing the deeper scratches, try making a paste out of equal parts dry mustard and vinegar. Start by measuring out the dry mustard, then slowly stir in the vinegar until it has formed a paste. Clean and dry the flawed plastic, then apply the paste to the scratches. Wipe the excess paste off, then dry the area with a soft lint-free cloth. With a careful hand and a bit of luck, the scratches on your plastic window will be virtually invisible.

So basically you are brushing off the protective film that was put on there to prevent light glares.

Find a near new-born kitten , cut a tiny tuft of hair from it's neck area.
Ball it up in your hand then blow it gently off into the screen.

* Be sure to "wish that scratch away" before blowing kitten tuft into screen.

I've used jewelers rouge before to remove scratches on my glasses. recently had a good pair's plastic scratch coating get pitted by acid and used 1200 grit jeweler rouge to remove the coating.

I've also seen super glue use to fill a deep scratch, then buffed down flat with newspaper, after it dried of course.

I saw that, but couldn't come up with a 'funny' for it.

Maybe it was a shout out to RRG/SOS?
