Did God err in making Adam ruler over Eve?
Scripture are clear. Sin and death entered this world through Adam, and he was thus to blame for original sin. Yet God rewarded Adam with dominion over Eve even though Eve was not responsible for sin and death entering the world. Gen3:16 and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. This shows God continuing the policy of punishing the innocent instead of the guilty that is shown in scriptures. 1Peter 1:20 He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. God seems to be rewarding Adam for sin while punishing Eve for the events in Eden even though she was innocent of sin as she did not have any evil intent and was deceived by Satan, a force that she could not possibly resist thanks to God giving Satan the power to deceive the whole world after God put Satan in Eden with Eve. If making man ruler over women that was an error, it would help explain the 5,000 years of war we have had to endure with undeserving men as rulers. Gnostic Christianity, a Universalist belief system, believes in full equality for all souls. Christianity obviously does not believe in equality if it preaches that men are to perpetually enjoy ruling over women. Not to mention the inequality of gays. Did God err in making Adam ruler over Eve and thus punishing the innocent instead of the guilty? Regards DL |

The right question actually is "What does this "Bible story" really mean?"
Adam and Eve and any alleged Original Sin are all just morality parables. Everyone all starts out being female but for the Y chromosome's existence. Eve existed before Adam chronologically. Sex was "invented" with the higher evolution of the species as its actual "goal". So was "gender" thereby. The Tree of Knowledge was the representation of what Higher Consciousness creates, of which is, the evolutionary Path towards Higher Man and Godhood at the end of both Cosmic and Biological and Spiritual and Material Evolution. It represents Man arising from only knowing as an animal knows to knowing that he knows. Instinct alone verses higher self-awareness or consciousness. The ancient Greek story of Prometheus is quite similar in theme. Man and Woman are compliments to each other and complete each other with their union of male and female mental, and physical, and spiritual attributes. Mans relationship is as a custodian of Woman, but not one of dominion, as a protector and guardian, or just as is true of Humanity all over the rest of life. It is the quest for dominion vs. stewardship and protection over females and of Life and Nature that has caused much of the "destruction to our lives" and the world of Nature. The separation of GOD or the DIVINE from Man and from Nature with the MOSAIC DISTINCTION is another ORIGINAL SIN of Mankind. See: http://www.firstpost.com/living/mosa...e-2237920.html "Atonement" means "At one ment" and of which is what Man actually is with both Nature or Cosmos and as with the Creator or GOD, of which all are ONE. Does that answer your question for you? Was that "enlightening enough" to you? Or do I need to elaborate some more? Last edited by Paul Parnitzke; 10-13-2017 at 06:27 PM. Reason: Added link. |

I do agree that the myth was written as a coming of age yarn. It has failed to have Christians grow up because of their foolish literal reading of myths. that were not written to be read literally. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGx4IlppSgU Regards DL |

![]() You already do know that "our friend" is quite too clueless to answer your question. See post and until the end of that thread: http://forums.liveleak.com/showpost....&postcount=110 It is not just a "coming of age yarn", but, it relates the actual dawning of a far more sentient and Human consciousness and of a self-awareness from all other life forms. Of course, any such literal reading of any "myths and parables" is idiotic childishness. Last edited by Paul Parnitzke; 10-14-2017 at 04:35 PM. Nietzsche. JC is good with that video as he was with his The Power of Myth series but the real way to be an adult is to develop intellectual honesty and moral courage within. The next step above mere Human consciousness towards cosmic consciousness, then divine consciousness, and then to the Omega Point of Conscious Evolution. That is the real Jacob's Ladder, or Path of Life! Last edited by Paul Parnitzke; 10-15-2017 at 08:17 PM. |

Nothing is divine that has not been named so by humans. That is why I take divine out of the definition for apotheosis. If there was a supernatural God, and he/it wanted to be relevant to us, he/it would show itself. Regards DL |
