See Boris revised his 350 million to 450 million that can be saved by leaving the EU, he also has a bridge he is trying to sell.
Labour's brexit team should be handling this, the Tories are a shower of shite.
No deal indeed, the only morons that call for that have no clue as to the size and range of currant agreements that now need to be renegotiated.
Still makes for a good distraction while the Tories sell off public services to their mates.

The problem is that Corbyn has always been anti-EU. Corbyn has always seen the EU a symbolic of neo-liberal capitalism, whereas the right has always seen the EU as an erosion of *sniff, wipe tear from eye* good ol' English values

Given that I’m an outsider here
I wonder if “good old English values” might not be a little more tangible than *siff, wipe tear from eye*
An economic union with Germany might be workable but to my way of thinking There is a chasm dividing the British and French mind set on matters of governance.
As stated I’m an outsider, it may be more a false perception on my part but I think the French having as much influence on regulations and requirements would be enough insentive to exit
I can not figure how the British were convinced to join in the first place

The 'British' were convinced in the first place because 'Britain' was utterly bankrupt. The electricity was literally going off several times every week. There was an effective 'government shutdown' where all public services only functioned 3 days a week. 2 things then happened, one was the movement of goods'n'services withing the EU(at that time the EEC) and the discovery of oil fields in Scotland. Thatcher used the oil revenue to lower soft taxes on the City of London as well as selling 'nationalised'(ie socialist) industries like British Rail, British Coal, British Steel, British Airways, British Petroleum.

If anyone happens to be looking for the reason for the break-up of their precious 'Britain', perhaps it began with the break-up of those industries.......

Didn't think much of Corbyn when he became labour leader but he has done well as a opposition leader. he is not as far to the left as people think, unless you stand him next to Tony Blair, i would of thought Chuka Umunna would of got the labour leadership by now.

I've not thought much of Corbyn for the past 10 years. He has some reasonable ideas. I believe a nations natural resources should be for the benefit of the nation, not just a few landowners/shareholders. I believe there is certain industries that should be run for the benefit of the people. I suppose health, education, transport, power and, in the modern world, internet access. These are all things the state SHOULD provide, first and foremost.

When you(as a state) have a healthy, educated and fit for work population then the taxes come in. Those taxes in turn pay for a healthy, educated and fit for work population

Agreed. Everything has a healthy limit, including capitalism. There is a place for regulation and state functions, and regulating the private management of the resources which are vital to the public is appropriate to prevent abuses. The idea that a corporation/'person' whose sole responsibility is to maximize stockholder profits will always produce the best possible product at the lowest possible price with the least collateral environmental/social/moral/physical damage (i.e. the "invisible hand of the marketplace") is a myth, as instance after instance of unrestrained, single minded corporate/government greed has shown....

Poisonous pet food, milk, and children's toys from China, R.J Reynolds' tobacco dissembling, the Love Canal catching fire, Chernobyl and Fukushima, DDT, the slave trade, England's 'opium trade' in China, Spain's silver mines in South America, .....Even The Rain.

(Bolivian film extras launch a protest against the privatization of their water supply, which parallels the Spanish conquest and exploitation of the New World)

I truly believe that a singular nation should be able to feed, house, educate and prosper. Without 'internationalism'. Obviously the real world has become all about globalism and exploiting unregulated labour markets. To provide the illusion that something costing £0.05 to produce in the 3rd world is value for money at £9.99 sold in the first world, because of what it would cost us to make here.

I dont see anything to brag about gouging your own people hand over fist. In fact i see it as the slow death of a nation. If all products become imports, where is the internal prosperity to pay for it long term? Where is the wealth creation for the little man. There isnt any.
