I'm rather new to reloading, it's only been a few years now, up to now it has just been one caliber (.303 British) with a Lee hand loader, which is great because it only neck sizes. I have just recently got my first press, a RCBS Rock Chucker. I have not had the chance to use it yet because the first caliber I want to reload for is 7.5 X 55 Swiss. I need to get a set of dies and a book with 7.5 X 55 loading data. I look forward to feeding my K-31 with home cooked brass and copper.
So any of you guys have a book with 7.5 x 55 Swiss reloading Data? Still waiting...

Nope, ain't got that one, sorry, but I think you may be spending more to load this caliber than if you got lucky and found an old stash.

My Hornady 7th edition has it on pg. 439

7.5 X 55mm Schmidt Rubin (7.5mm Swiss)
Rifle used Schmidt Rubin Model 1896/11 30.7" barrel (damn that's a long barrel!)
Case = Norma
Primer = Federal 210
Bullet Dia = .308"
Max COL = 3.059"
Max case length = 2.189"
Trim to length = 2.179"

They have recipes for:
130gr
150-155gr
165-168gr
178-180gr

What weight bullet do you plan to shoot?

Good to mention the trim/length for him DJ. I could see old military brass stretching to excess and if you didn't do a complete sizing stroke with a Rockchucker, that could make things dicey. Such as having to use just a tad bit more force to close the bolt on the old gal.
Of course, while not too much of an issue with a really strong well made bolt action, doing that with a semi auto that is in battery and a bolt not fully seated equals a blown up gun.
Military brass is notorius for stretching, always size and trim any case that has been fired even once.

It says nice things about your rifle, the K31 fully supports the case head and is much safer to fire with higher pressure loads.

Yup, lol, again emphasis on "strong, well made, bolt actions", remember even the 1903 Spgfld with serial #'s below 800k are no longer safe to shoot, so I'd be tempted to make a wallhanger of something from 1891.

Edit- just saw some info on some K31's that were even made in the 1950's, so have modern heat treatments to their actions.
