Today i received the first case i had ordered. It's the Tiveco Steel ATX Mid Tower Case 605BG, 4x 5.25in Bays, w/ 400W Power Supply. And to my surprise it Does have 7 expansion slots and not just 4. So when the second case i ordered gets here and it also has the 7 slots like the specs says it does then it will come down to which one i like best or which one is the best for my needs between the two.
Not to worry about the mix up because which ever case i dont use i can trade it for other things i might need/want with my nephew. He just told me a few days ago he had a couple of box's of pc parts he has collected over time. He works at a pawn shop and he told me the shop owner does not buy or take pc's in on pawn and from time to time he will buy things from people out of his pocket. So there is no telling just what he has and the condition.
Thanks and have a nice day.,,Rob.

Sounds like your going to have your hands full.
Watch for sharp edges and be sure to be grounded when handling the electronic items.
Happy trails pard.

Got the second case today and i am glad i did because it seems to be a better case. Besides me liking the looks of it ,it has more ventilation and fan mounting options. I would have got the motherboard today but the goof FedEx driver drove right past my house and i even whistled at him but he never came back down the road. After about an hour i went in and checked the tracking number and it had went from "Out for delivery" to "Unable to deliver / address invalid". I was dialing the phone number for fedex when i saw another fedex truck go past on my security camera/screen. And of coarse by the time i got a live person on the line the goof in the truck was miles away and "due to the late hour " they set it up to be delivered tomorrow. I ask the guy on the phone to put a note to the driver that i would put an orange safety cone at the end of my driveway at the road. He said ok and that was it.
Maybe i'll get one of those big arrows and put my house number on it and when i see the truck coming get out by the road and flip it around and point it towards my house? I am joking of coarse. I was nice and understanding only so they didn't get mad and throw my package/motherboard around and break it.
I at least got my lawn mowed and did all the weed-eater work i been putting off the past couple of weeks all while keeping an eye on the road for the FedEx truck and still let it get away..hahaaha.
Well it's time for supper. Take care and have a nice evening.,,Rob.

Got my motherboard today and also my static discharge band. The case i plan to use has mounting point for 4 fans. So i need three 120mm fans and one 92mm fan. A processor,Hard drive and some ram modules. Oh and an operating system. I think i'm going to go with windows 7 for now but that might change before i'm done.
Take care.,,Rob.

I try not to give them a rough time but yeah .. I feel your exasperation.
Drove rig for years and get one load a few hours late you never hear the end of it.
These guys lave to lump their own load and a butt load of stops.

Anyway that's good news. Its coming along nicely then.
I know the outlet box is grounded so I just use a cheater plug to connect to.
Handy for house calls.
Oh .. don't forget some filters for the intake if you want to make cleaning easier.
Just a thought on that and maybe measuring any parts that many be next to the fans.

Yeah i didnt make to big a stink about it. For one thing it wasn't "expected delivery" until today anyway. I was just happy to see it was out for delivery and then i was afraid it might get shipped back to the seller and have to do it all over again. Oh and the house number's are all out of whack.. So if they go by a TomTom/gps gizmo it put's my house a hlf mile up the road and then my house number is 5*** and the next house up the road a short piece is 7*** and back the otherway it's 2*** so that's enough to piss anyone off. Well at least i got to do a little hedge trimming and yard work again this morning,,all while keeping an eye on the road for the truck.haha
When he pulled in i was sitting on the porch swing and was just about to doze off. He was friendly and we had a chuckle about the mix up and as far as i know nobody lost any sleep over it.hahaha.
Oh and as for the grounding/static band. I had a steel rod about 3 quarters or an inch in diameter and 3 feet long. I ran an angle grinder over it and knocked all the rust and dirt off and i have one of those U-bolt type steel cable clamp that's used to like loop the cable through a hook or something and then lay it along side its self and you thightin the two nuts down pinching the cable tight. Well it fit over the steel rod perfectly and i took a 12 or 14 gauge copper wire to it and ran that in my shop room through the old tv antenna wire hole and wrapped it around a screw i put in the back side of my work bench and i can clip the static bank on the screw head. And i drove the steel rod into the ground about 30 inches deep. I hope that will work as a good ground.
As for filters. Thats a good idea being we have all hardwood floors and no central heat/air there is lots of dust to deal with. Even after sweeping and moping every day i still have to take my old dell out on the porch and give it a good dusting with the leaf blower. Dust goes everywhere . hahaha
Well Thanks again for the tips and have a nice evening..,Rob.

As far as i know,1155 Intel, Yes sir. I took a close look at the wire connections and the connections on the board and to be honest with you ,i got a heap more learning to do. Out of all the connection's/connectors i am lost as to where many of them go.
I am in No hurry so i got time sort this out one at a time. I have been watching some pc build videos and found one sponsored by newegg that uses the same motherboard i have. so it has been a great help. And i,m sure if i made a video asking a specific question while pointing out a connector/connection ,that would be a better way to ask.
As always Thanks TinBuk3 for taking the time to help me with my project. Have a nice day.,,Rob.
