Yeah, Kudos to Obama for ordering the hit, to the intelligence officials for getting it right, and most of all, Seal Team 6.

The sudden and hasty withdrawal from Iraq was probably one of his greatest blunders. People always point to Bush, but here's the thing. Bush wasn't President at the time. Obama, as acting Commander and Chief, had an obligation and a duty to leave Iraq timely, based on the ground situation, despite who or what started the war a decade earlier. I also always hear that "Obama was following Bushes time scale for the withdrawal". That's a failed argument, because it wasn't without conditions. Never was. Conditions on the ground should have been the deal breaker. Obama never thought twice of them, didn't care. He knew Islamic take over was coming, he was warned.

It was done so deliberately, so quickly, and so completely, that it almost looked as if he wanted Iraq to fail. More ammo against war mongering Republicans. But i don't think he counted on ISIS, and a group so extensive. He withdrew fucking "everything". Against his top military advisors and the warnings from his top generals, he wouldn't even establish peace keeper or security forces, which we have all over the world in many other countries. Even Bush stated in 2007 that a hasty withdrawal, without leaving any security forces or peace keepers, would inevitably give rise to Islamic extremists taking over the country. And surprise!

That withdrawal had nothing to do with Bush and was Obama's blunder, his and his alone. He could have left security forces that would have been enough to keep the extremists at bay. Just the mere presence of US troops would have done it. These fucking animals were waiting on us to leave and hoping that Obama would withdraw "all of it". Will he withdraw them all? Not a single troop left? They asked themselves. Probably not, it's highly unlikely any President would be that stupid. But lo and behold!.....He fuckin' did it. Their dreams came true that day. He had a duty as the current leader of the free world, to withdraw from Iraq without handing it over to Islamic militants. He FAILED. Failed the American people, failed the Iraqi people, and worst of all, failed his own nations troops who bled and died for that absolute shithole. Everything else is irrelevant.

Bush literally predicted an attempt at an Islamic Caliphate, by name, in Iraq. Warned us ISIS is coming. Bush of all people, but i'm supposed to believe Obama didn't know lol. Fuckin' bullshit. All those lives, all the blood and death, a decade of fighting, only to have Obama come in and use it for political gain. Fuckin' ruthless, heartless, no good piece of shit.

Obama was partly put in power because many were tired of war, Obama if my memory serves me correct promised to leave Iraq and afghanistan and that is what 'largely' happened. He fulfilled his promise

Can argue whether or not it was the correct decision all day but that was one of the reasons and a big reason why he gained presidency

He castrated the anti-war movement, he was put their to end wars, not start new ones. But i digress, those who voted for him and actually expected he would do anything different, including the OP, were and are deluded beyond all imagination.

They didn't vote on principle or conviction, they voted by using their ass to think

He sure did. And yeah, no one can say he didn't keep his promise lol. Well there's a plus huh. How noble of him. But leaving behind security forces would have simply been common sense. Still would have got his potential end to major ground combat operations and a great majority of troops would have came home anyways.

If you remember, at the time he withdrew Iraq was doing pretty well considering the circumstances. Security was just a common sense thing after a decade of war. Violence was down, Government was intact and doing satisfactory.

We have security in S Korea, Japan and all over the world. The UN runs peacekeeping missions all over the world. Pretty easy concept. After all those briefings and warnings, i find it a bit hard to believe he would even make such a horrible decision to not even leave security. Makes it look like a deliberate political move.
