Of course, you also failed to mention the 30bil bailout Spain got pales into utter fucking insignificance when you compare it to the 400bil bailout the UK got from our glorious friends the US taxpayers. Terms'n'conditions eh? At least the EUs terms'n'conditions were open and public towards Spain. Do you believe good ol' Uncle Sam handed over buttock squeezing amounts of filthy Dollah without a few terms'n'conditions being attached?

Most of the market is the tooing'n'froing of assorted car parts Dan. All they'll do is move the factory to Europe and cut out the hassle. The final build plant might be in the UK but, pure rough example, the tyres come from Spain, the exhaust comes from Slovakia, the sat-nav from Germany, etc, etc. These 'parts' all count towards the EUs trade towards the UK, the UKs trade to the EU is the final car sale.

I suspect one of the first signs of the process is when the various F1 teams start upping sticks. Subtle, but I think that might be a portent.

That's partly true, initially they came here for entry to the EU through the UK. The thing is, to be "Made in the UK" it only needs the last component attached here. That's the same for supermarket chicken, as long as it's packaged here, it's a UK product. They just have to add conflicting shit like "contains meat products from......".

Our government just Paid Toyota 325m for "R&D" or some such utter bollocks. It's as big a set up as when Bookbinder stole the land from us initially, the morally corrupt fuck. It doesn't however change the fact that they will stay, initially at least, because we've paid them to.

Toyota said today they will build their new model here up until the end of any interim period after brexit which by the sound of it, they expect a trade deal similar to what is already in place, that gives the EU a big stick to beat the UK government with.
You will know when the car plants are moving by the level of investment they make for future production, Peugoet was off like a shot from around here, people still buy their cars though, never liked Peugoet cars myself.

Yeah, Toyata, just like the Nissan plant in Sunderland, has been offered a big fat wad of UK taxpayer cash not to go. Every time freedom of info requests have went in wanting to see the terms of the deals they have been refused for 'commercial reasons'

Peugeot had a load of tax payers money to update the Ryton plant, still moved to keep the french workers in jobs when it suited them, cheeky fuckers still have a sales head office in the city needs burning, that's what the French would do.

Opel/Vauxhall, under the GM Saturn brand, is looking to return to America; and from what I've read it's coming from our industry supporting the Brexit vote.
Seems the US industry thinks the EU has imposed too much and too many import/export labor and 'widget' taxes.

Have seen that Peugeot/Citroen is also looking to return to the US market after 23 years.
They have several parts plants in the Pyrenees region, and looks to reduce labor and tax rates, through the EU rules, that grants special tax breaks with so-called autonomous regions, while imposing the past debt to the original nation state.

The EU has not been good for labor or industry, or national identity within Europe.
