The hilti takes seconds, especially the auto load ones
Ahh.

I wasted a rep on that?!?

Never had a reason to buy a Hilti/RamSet/whatever you call them. Always used a hammer and cut nails. At home anyway.

Yeah, well, I used to make a living with them, time is money ya know, and I still have almost all my tools, it's a lot of tools too, lol.

I still got a little backhoe too, if I subbed out the dirt work and the foundation (basement) I could still build the rest of the house, the mind, ambition and know how is all still there, it's just that my body won't cooperate

I'm still part owner of a dozer, dump trailer, skid steer and full size backhoe too that I share with my brother and father, which we keep on an equally shared 100 acre plot of woods.....our "bug out" spot

I come from a long line of very independent people

EDIT: And yes to the rep, sorry, contractor slang around here, doesn't matter what brand it is, they're all hilti's

One of the best power tools I've ever owned.

I got an old Ryobie too about the same age, but it's bats are dead, won't even last long even to put in a few 2 inch screws.

EDIT: To be fair, I usually only drive those tapcons in with a corded, 1/2 drive, electric impact gun or shoot them with the hilti these days, but I have used it in the past for that, before I had that impact wrench or the hilti.
That's the exact same one I have.
It was on sale for $ 99.00 , came with case, 2 battery's and charger. I've been more than happy with it.
On the other hand a buddy gave me a craftsman 15.6 volt and the batteries don't last 2 seconds ! ! !

If I had to bang cut nails into concrete all day for a living.... I'd only be able to count to nine.

Broke too many Milwakee drills.
Have had a Ryobi for home use for over 15 years.
We use Ryobi for work but I use my Dewalt.
My 13 year old 18 Volt Dewalt 1/2 inch hammer drill is still going strong.
I was an installer for years and beat the hell out of it 5 days a week.
Now I am a service tech and use it much less.
Cheaper ones you can replace every few years, expensive ones become your dependable work buddy.

What about the ones that you get all the way down to about an 1/8 of an inch left to go and when you hit it, instead of the good feel of it setting, you feel that head kind of slide to the right just a bit and you know damn well that if you hit it again, it's just going to flatten out and never really set right, all because who ever drilled it got a tad lazy on that one.

Those are my personal favorites

They rent Hiltis for a decent price. They actually make pretty decent drills also.
