Search Engines hijacked

Whenever I type something into google or yahoo, I get the search results. However, when I click on a link, I get redirected to things like "shopica" ... any help? ...

You Sir, have a Trojan and or malware on board.

Get the free version of something like malwarebytes or an equivalence and run a full scan. remove the bad stuff, or post back the results and I or someone will guide you through cleaning the terminal.

That can be a tough one to get rid of. I had that one before and the only thing that worked was hitman.(this was maybe a year ago)

If those don't work, try this .It's a trial version but when all else failed was the only thing that worked.

*edit* I would use this as a last resort, as it's only a 30 day trial, but if I was forced to buy something, this would be my #1 choice. When absolutely nothing else worked, Hitman was my saviour.

Cool, Hitman, as Zero suggest, is another good one, one of the best.

If that does not work, just post back and like I said. Someone will help you.

Paid the 30 bucks because Hitman said they found something and I had to upgrade to remove it ... didn't work ... still fuggered ...

Went on a forum and ran a HijackThis scan ... I have a log if anyone knows how to read it ...

shit, anyway to get your money back? If it didn't work do they have a 30 day policy ?

Google redirect is exactly what I had and that was the only thing that fixed me. It was maybe a year ago, so maybe no good anymore.

There are alot of articles about the google redirect virus out there, but I'm afraid you might not be able to follow the hyperlinks from a search engine.

It's from december , but also contains a link for a 'kaspersky' root kit fix.

I've had some luck in the past with combo fix. Don't run it unless you shut down all apps firewalls and anti spy & virus programs. Download it , save it and run it in safe mode.
